The Russian Foreign Minister meets with President Taylor and makes his country's position clear: if President Hassan dies, they will pull out of the peace agreement. Taylor is suspicious, saying that the Russians have been searching for an excuse to pull out, but she has no evidence and has to withdraw her accusation. It's imperative that Hassan is recovered safe and well.

Meanwhile, Renee and Chloe discover Dana's betrayal just as she tries to leave the CTU building; she kills two of the security guards but is trapped by a furious Cole. Dana demands to speak to Jack and, when he arrives, promises to tell them all she knows in return for immunity, a clean record and a lot of money. Jack arranges this with President Taylor, and Dana reveals Samir's plans and location. The terrorist wants Hassan to confess his supposed crimes before he's executed... live on the Internet.

Samir begins his broadcast from which Chloe is able to determine their location in the building. Then Jack, Renee and the assault team move in. But when they storm the apartment, they find the dead body of President Hassan! The Internet transmission is a recording...
