Manhunt

Miami Dade PD is scouring the city for the escaped convicts and of particular interest is Memmo Fierro, the murderer of Marisol Caine, Horatio’s wife and Delko’s sister. Loose on the streets, Memmo is enjoying a one-man killing spree while searching for his 11-year-old daughter, Elsa.

Calleigh questions Elsa’s mother and Memmo’s former girlfriend, Ivonne Hernandez, and soon discovers she’s seen the convict. She wants nothing to do with him, however; Elsa has been with a foster parent since Memmo was imprisoned and Ivonne’s struggling to regain custody of her daughter.

Memmo’s reign of terror continues as he takes revenge on Miami Dade hospital’s nursing staff, shooting those who he believes had turned away his daughter when she’d needed treatment. Next on his target list is Aaron Taber, Elsa’s caseworker at a private fostering agency. Memo calls Horatio to tell him that he has Taber but when the CSIs arrive, the caseworker is long dead.

Kenneth McGuire, department head at the fostering service tells Walter and Natalia that he knows nothing of Elsa’s case, so Horatio and Ryan visit foster parent Joanne Conners, only to find she’s been shot in the leg by Memmo who’s long gone. Elsa, however, has been missing for two days…

Meanwhile, Ryan learns that Taber had recommended Conners be removed from the fostering programme but McGuire had over-ruled him, and it’s soon apparent that the department head knows more about Elsa than he’s admitting. Horatio puts an APB out on him and soon picks him up with Elsa in his car. McGuire had been in league with Conners and was about to sell Elsa to a wealthy family.

Horatio takes Elsa but Memmo suddenly appears, grabs McGuire and, after a few words to his daughter, disappears with his hostage. Horatio reunites Ivonne with her daughter, but Memmo escapes again, leaving McGuire dead in his car…
