A young woman is abducted from a beachside restroom and the only witness is a blind man, Ben Wilcox, who manages to alert Horatio at the beach. Ben soon proves to be a great help, aiding in the girl’s identification as Lindsey Peterson and providing valuable information regarding the kidnapper’s identity.
It’s not long before the kidnapper calls the Petersons, demanding the family’s bank details – he’s going to get Lindsey to make a withdrawal for him. Ben helps Horatio locate the bank branch the kidnapper is to use and the CSI team are waiting as the young woman emerges and walks to the kidnapper’s van. Lindsay, however, has a bomb strapped to her body and Horatio is forced to let the kidnapper drive away with the girl and the Petersons’ $50,000.
Luckily, Ryan caught a glimpse of the driver’s face and a police artist’s sketch allows Lindsey’s mother, Claire, to identify him as her hair stylist, Dominic Giordano. He’s quickly brought in but the team realise the brains behind the plan is someone else and Giordano’s not talking.
Horatio analyses video taken at the bank and recognises the bomb-maker’s work – the other kidnapper is Joe LeBrock – but he’s currently residing in a Miami prison… Ben recognises LeBrock’s voice and explosives residue is found on the jailbird’s fingers, but how did he get out of prison?
Algae on LeBrock’s shoes points to a disused fish factory where Lindsey is soon discovered safe and well. Meanwhile, Delko finds a hidden tunnel leading from LeBrock’s cell to the factory and is shocked to learn that eight other prisoners have escaped!
Horatio and Delko head down the tunnel and take out three of the escapees but five get away and LeBrock taunts Horatio, saying they’ll be coming after the CSI agent. Horatio, however, only has three words for him: ‘Bring it on…’
