Damages cast reveal second series secrets (VIDEO)
Glenn Close says she was initially terrified about starring as the cunning and callous attorney Patty Hewes in the hit US drama series Damages.

Glenn said that process of filming Damages had made her insecure during the first series because she had no idea what her character was going to do next and that the series was 'pioneering a true art form'.

The Oscar-winning actress joined her co-stars to reveal intimate behind-the-scenes secrets about the making of the show. Anastasia Griffiths, who plays Katie Connor, said that the actors didn't receive the scripts 'much more than seconds before we're shooting'.

Newcomer Marcia Gay Harden, who plays Patty's legal nemesis Claire Maddox, said the cast had to surrender to the writers and trust them to 'give you a titbit or throw out a parcel but no more than that'.

Tate Donovan, who plays Tom Shayes, also revealed he had stepped behind the camera to direct an episode in the second series. Tom said: "I felt very fortunate to have directed that episode... It went back to people following each other and betraying each other... back into all the excitement of the first year."
