A pretty girl in a leotard

Still smarting after Purcell's betrayal, Patty goes on the offensive and uses a TV interview to accuse UNR CEO Walter Kendrick of being responsible for Christine's murder. Kendrick's head counsel, Claire Maddox, encourages the sleaze bucket to sue, but he refuses to play ball

As Patty's accusations hang in the air unchallenged, however, UNR's stock price begins to slide and Claire urges Kendrick to think again. But it's not until a night at the ballet and a chance meeting with major UNR stockholder Arthur Frobisher – who warns Kendrick that Patty will 'have his balls' – that the corrupt CEO changes tack. 'Sue the bitch', is his message to Claire. Unfortunately for him, Frobisher's already on Patty's side and has agreed to be lead plaintiff in a class action suit alleging Kendrick and the UNR board failed to represent the interests of their stockholders.

Frobisher is in Ellen's thoughts, too, and she has less time for her FBI friends when they reject her request to investigate a bent cop whom she feels sure will connect the disgraced businessman to the murder of her fiancé, David. Thing is, she's not the only one on the cop's tail, and it's not long before 'Bearded Man' puts a hole in his back.

As for Purcell, he shares a cosy liaison with Claire, before the curvaceous brunette dumps him...
