Jesse Metcalfe: 'I don't miss Housewives'
29/10/2008 - 10:36

Former Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe has revealed that he doesn't miss appearing in the Channel 4 series.
"Truthfully, I don't," he said in an interview with parade.com.
"Obviously, it was just a huge opportunity for me. And it was a great time, really a lot of fun. But leaving the show was a blessing because I could have still been playing John Rowland five years later. Now I've gotten to play some really interesting, complex characters in feature films."
The 30-year-old actor, who appeared in the hit series for three years before leaving in 2007, said he still gets recognised by fans of the show.
"Believe it or not, I really do get fans going, 'Hi, I'm a desperate housewife and I have a bush that needs trimming.' I get that one pretty often," said Jesse.
Now he is concentrating on film work, having recently shot a movie Beyond a Reasonable Doubt with Michael Douglas.
"It's hard to forget he's an icon," Jesse says of the star. "He really took me under his wing. He told me that he used to be as obsessive and as much of a perfectionist as I am. He told me to enjoy the ride. And that really meant a lot to me, coming from him."
