Barrowman to join 'Desperate Housewives?'

Actor John Barrowman has revealed he is in talks with the producers of Desperate Housewives to appear in the show.

Speaking on Radio 1's Chris Moyles show on Friday, the Torchwood star revealed he was about to meet up with show bosses in Los Angeles to discuss the role.

"I probably shouldn't say this but I've got a meeting with the execs of Desperate Housewives," the 42-year-old said.

"Can you believe it, I'm going to be a Desperate Housewife!"

Barrowman did not elaborate further on what the role might be.

He's not the only UK-based actor to be tipped for a part on the show. Former EastEnders star Michelle Collins also recently auditioned to join the cast.

And The Sun recently reported that Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle was being tipped for a cameo.
