'Don't expect Desperate Housewives, The Movie'

Desperate Housewives' fans have been cautioned against expecting a reunion movie, despite the series finale leaving a few loose ends hanging.
Creator Marc Cherry said eight seasons have given the ABC series time to 'plumb the depths' of the characters played by Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria.
He said he was very satisfied with where the series stands.
"I'm so not revealing what the end is going to be," he said.
Marc (pictured with Teri) contrasted Desperate Housewives with Sex And The City, which had fewer episodes and followed its HBO run with two big-screen movies.
Referring to Sex And The City 2, which was set in the Middle East and received largely negative reviews, Marc quipped: "I'm just never sending these gals to Dubai."
Marc revealed that writers kicked off series eight by re-watching the pilot. "We're really trying to view this season as a bookend to that iconic first season and first episode," executive producer Bob Daily added.
Desperate Housewives will screen its final episode in the US this spring.
