Dexter nominated for Golden Globe

A chilling drama about a serial killer who works for the Miami Police Department has made it onto the shortlist for the Golden Globe Awards.
Dexter, which screens on ITV1 in January 8 at 10.35pm, is nominated for the Best Television Series award along with Emmy award-winning shows Man Men and House.
The show stars Six Feet Under's Michael C Hall as a sociopathic killer who was adopted by a police officer as a child.
His adoptive father, played by Sex and The City’s James Remar, has conditioned Dexter to direct his deadly urges towards dangerous criminals who have escaped the course of justice.
Michael, who has been nominated three times for the best actor award, said he did not expect the nomination. "I suppose I was somewhat surprised at the breadth of the show's appeal," he said, talking to The Independent.
“I'm proud to be a part of something that inspires strong reactions no matter what they might be.”
The Golden Globes will take place on Sunday, January 11.
