Dexter UK fans set for season four finale 'shock'

Dexter fans in the UK are set to be shocked by the end of season four.

The series is yet to air on the FX channel on this side of the pond, but viewers in the US went crazy on internet forums when they were hit with the dramatic and unexpected ending, and relished the opportunity to discuss what has happened with the cast at a special Q and A as part of the Paley Centre for Media's PaleyFest 2010 in LA.

David Zayas, who plays detective Angel Batista, said of the viewers' reaction: "Everyone was kind of shocked, but shocked in a way that they can't wait for next season and that's always a good thing."

He went on: "The only answer I have (to what happened) is because that's where the story led us."

David laughed: "No matter what I think should happen, the writers always come up with something better.

"No matter what, we're all here to serve the show and whatever our role is we have to accept it and do the best we can to make it successful."
