After befriending serial killer Boyd Fowler, Dexter accompanied him on a job and tried to incapacitate him with his syringe, only for Fowler to shoot Dexter with his tranquiliser gun before he went down.
Both men woke up in the back of an ambulance heading for the hospital where Fowler slipped from his bed in order to kill Dexter, who evaded his clutches.
Quinn remained suspicious of Dexter and wanted to show the artist’s impression of Kyle Butler to the Mitchell family. A member of internal affairs informed LaGuerta that Batista’s bar fight victim, Lopez, had chosen to file charges and Batista could lose his job and face jail time because of the brawl.
After Fowler returned to his house, he found Dexter lying in wait. Making no mistake this time, Dexter sedated the killer and prepared a makeshift kill room in the house. But after killing Fowler, he heard a sound in another room and found a dishevelled woman who was obviously Fowler’s next intended victim. To Dexter’s horror, it was clear that she had witnessed everything.
