A group of men loaded Boyd Fowler’s barrels containing the female victims into the back of a pick-up truck. When it was involved in an accident, the driver fled the scene and the police discovered the grisly contents.

Deb found out the truck was registered to Jordan Chase, the self-help guru whose motivational tapes Fowler was always listening to. Chase arrived at the station for questioning with Cole Harmon, his head of security. Chase said their truck had been stolen, and insisted he knew nothing about the crimes.

Dexter showed Lumen a photograph of the two men – she recognised Harmon but not Chase. The pair decided to give the police another suspect so that they could bring Harmon to justice themselves, and Dexter planted Fowler’s wallet in the truck, which Masuka later discovered.

Meanwhile, Deb’s undercover operation at the club got underway. But when one of the Fuentes brothers discovered he was talking to a police informant, his sibling shot her dead. Deb had a standoff with Carlos Fuentes and put a bullet between his eyes.

Dexter and Lumen went to Harmon’s house late at night and Dexter found a picture of him as a teenager with Fowler and the dentist who he killed in last week’s episode. He was attacked by an unknown man from behind, but luckily Lumen arrived in time to save him. They left immediately before the man could see their faces.
