Everything is Illumenated

With Dexter’s house on the market, Deb helped him pack up his things. Thinking that Lumen had returned to Minneapolis, Dexter was feeling far calmer and even targeted another victim, Lance Robinson, who killed four men in extreme sex games.

Liddy briefed Quinn on his initial investigation into Dexter, and told him he was ‘squeaky clean on paper’, but that he suspected there may be more to him than meets the eye.

Dexter sedated Robinson and set up a kill room in a hired RV. But he was interrupted by a phone call from Lumen. He was shocked to hear she was still in Miami, and even more shocked to hear she had just shot one of the men who abused her and needed his help in disposing of the body.

Dexter left Robinson unconscious in the back of the RV and rushed to help Lumen at a deserted warehouse, where she had made her victim drive her at gunpoint. But the ‘corpse’ had vanished, leaving a huge pool of blood. The pair followed the blood stains and found the wounded victim, but he denied ever seeing Lumen in his life and said she had got the wrong man.

While Dexter quizzed Lumen about the man’s identity, the victim secretly made a phone alerting his accomplices that ‘the last one’ was still alive. Hearing his confession, Dexter broke his neck.

With Deb, Masuka and the homicide department racing to the scene after someone reported the initial gun shots, Dexter gave Lumen the keys to his house and told her he’d meet her there, then spotted his initial victim, Robinson, escaping from the RV.

He managed to catch Robinson and killed him, positioning his body to make it look like he had been the one who had killed Lumen’s victim, a story that his cop colleagues fell for.

Returning to his house, he found Lumen in the bathtub, triggering flashbacks to Rita’s murder, and he agreed to help Lumen find and kill the other men.
