In the Beginning

Realising that Chase was onto him and Lumen, Dexter sent Harrison to stay with Rita’s parents to protect him. Dexter and Lumen visited Emily, the women whose blood was in the vial worn around Chase’s neck, but she shut the door in their faces.

Deb was off suspension and back on the case, and starting to connect the dots, while Liddy had Dexter’s house under surveillance.

Lumen went back to Emily’s and showed her a DVD of her attack that they found at Harmon’s house. Emily told her about how she befriended Chase 20 years ago. He drugged her and tied her to a bed and encouraged the others to rape her. She told Lumen the unidentified fourth boy in the photo was called Alex Linden.

Later, Emily informed Chase that she had told Lumen everything he asked her to. As Dexter and Lumen prepared to kill Alex, they broke into his place and found a piece of jewellery from each murdered woman.

Knowing that Dexter and Lumen were planning to kill Alex, Chase tipped off Deb and Quinn who raced to Alex's place, but Dexter and Lumen were carrying out the kill in a different location.

Deb spotted a female footprint and deduced that the 13th victim was still alive and killing the abusers. Back at Dexter's, he and Lumen ended up in bed together.
