My Bad

In the brilliant fourth series, Dexter battled his most chilling adversary yet - the Trinity Killer, who murdered his victims in three different ways: a woman bleeding to death in a bath; a mother-of-two falling to her death; and a father-of-two brutally bludgeoned.

After seeing Trinity kill a security guard, Dexter followed him home and discovered he was a seemingly ordinary family man by the name of Arthur Mitchell.

Dexter was intrigued by how Trinityl reconciled his dark urges with being a husband and father, and tried to get close to the killer to learn more about him.

Using the alias Kyle Butler, Dexter attended the same church as Trinity and ingratiated himself into the life of the Mitchell family. He discovered that Trinity's murders mimicked deaths of his family members.

After discovering that Trinity was in fact an abusive father, Dexter learnt that his killing pattern always began with the abduction of a 10-year-old boy, and helped thwart Trinity's latest kidnap attempt.

A suspicious Trinity followed Dexter to the police station and confronted him about his true identity. Soon after, Dexter drugged Trinity and killed him with a hammer, dumping the body.

But on arriving home to wife Rita and their baby son Harrison, Dexter discovered that Trinity had been there earlier, before his death at the hands of Dexter. He rushed to the bathroom to find Rita dead in the bath in the manner of Trinity's other victims.
