Dollhouse Eliza: 'I told Joss to write me a show!'

Eliza Dushku has revealed how pushiness won her a role in new sci-fi series Dollhouse.

The 28-year-old actress, who previously worked with the show's creator Joss Whedon in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, stars as Echo as well as being involved behind the scenes with her production company Boston Diva Productions.

"I produced Joss to Fox because I made him come to lunch with me for four hours and I told him that he had to write me a show, not just a show, but the best show that he's ever written and that that it had to be done and he accepted," she said.

She has high hopes for Dollhouse, which has already had a second series ordered in the US, and screens in the UK on the Sci-Fi channel.

"Well, Dollhouse is sort of intended to be showing me in any and every different kind of skin because basically every week, I will be playing a different character with a different personality," she explains.

"It's about a group of individuals who can have their personalities wiped clean and they can be imprinted with any personality.

"So it's a little bit Alias, except that we're not spies because we actually believe that with every fibre of our being that we are the people that we are imprinted to be.

"There's a little Bourne Identity, a little bit Stepford Wives and it's a chance for me to play everything, anyone, someone wants me to be."
