New dad Joseph Fiennes struggles to stay awake

New dad Joseph Fiennes admits he's struggling to stay awake to film the final episodes of FlashForward.

"I'm on my knees," the actor confessed at a special Q&A with fans of the show in California.

Joseph and his wife, Maria Dolores Dieguez, became the proud parents of a daughter on Monday.

"It's a beautiful experience, the best experience of my life. It puts everything in perspective," Joseph, said speaking before the event.

The show's cast are days away from filming the drama's big finale, which means no let up in shooting for Joseph.

"I did a little bit of theatre and I thought that was tough, eight shows a week for six months, but I have to say TV sorts the men from the boys, tough schedule.... and now the sleep deprivation as a consequence doesn't help!"

*FlashForward returns to Five with a double bill on Monday, March 22 at 9pm.
