Dame Helen Mirren lands vocal role on Glee

Dame Helen Mirren is lending her vocal talents to Glee.

But the Oscar-winning actress won't be appearing in person on the hit TV show.

The Hollywood Reporter has said Dame Helen will be heard but not seen, as she'll be playing the "inner voice" of one of the series' characters in an episode called Yes/No.

It's not clear which character she'll be helping out, but the episode is set to feature Matthew Morrison's Will and Jayma May's Emma prominently.

The Queen star is currently filming a TV movie about music producer Phil Spector, alongside Al Pacino and Jeffrey Tambor, and is rumoured to be joining the cast of Alfred Hitchcock And The Making of Psycho alongside Anthony Hopkins.
