Glee stars to perform Madonna hits on show
05/01/2010 - 10:53

Hit US show Glee will see the cast performing Madonna songs in a tribute to the Queen of pop.
The musical comedy, starring Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch, follows a group of theatre lovers and aspiring performers in an American high school and is set to hit UK screens on Monday.
Glee star Jane told OK! Magazine that the last song she had downloaded was the singer's hit Vogue: "I've been kind of up on Madonna these days. I grew up in the '80s, so she provided the soundtrack to my life.
"I think my favorite song is 'Crazy For You.' It's got such an aching and a longing to it, I know we're doing that song in the Madonna episode [on Glee]."
The Madonna episode is expected to be broadcast in the US later this year.
Glee creator Ryan Murphy told E! Online: "We have 10 Madonna songs in that episode. Huge songs, huge production numbers. I'm really excited about that."
Glee fan site Glee Fan has named the songs rumoured to be part of the episode as:
Borderline
Open Your Heart
Burning Up
4 Minutes
Crazy For You
Like A Virgin
Like A Prayer
What It Feels Like For A Girl
Vogue
Express Yourself
Glee starts in the UK on Monday January 11 at 9pm on E4.
