Heroes 3

Heroes 3

*Heroes returns in February with its fourth volume: Fugitives*

The hit US drama returns with a third season, promised by its creator, Tim Kring, to be more thrilling and fast-paced than ever before.

Though the second series had to be cut from 24 episodes to just 11 due to the US writers' strike and came in for a certain amount of criticism from its fans as a result, this new season promises to unveil revelations that will shake the series to its core and redefine many of the familiar characters.

The Heroes may have saved the cheerleader, New York and the world, but ominous new signs suggest that disaster lies just around the corner. Sylar's back and becoming more powerful than ever, and a new array of villains begins to gather to face the Heroes.

The third season kicks off moments after the second series ended, with shots ringing out and Nathan Petrelli lying wounded at the press conference he'd organised to tell the world of his superhuman power. Will he survive, and who is his would-be assassin?

Noah is faced with a new challenge when his most dangerous foes break out of a high-security detention centre and must be rounded up. Cheerleader Claire struggles to define her identity, and Hiro continues his wild, time-travelling adventures with his best friend Ando.

Matt Parkman discovers new ways to use his ability to hear and manipulate the thoughts of others with the help of an unlikely guide, and Mohinder Suresh takes a dangerous step into darkness as he continues his research into the Heroes' special powers.

And for Peter Petrelli the future and present collide as his many adopted powers help him discover that the only way to put a stop to the catastrophe facing the world is to do the unimaginable.
