Hiro spirit walks 18 months into the past to discover the history of today's heroes and villains. At Arthur and Angela Petrelli's 41st wedding anniversary party, Linderman asks Arthur to dissuade Nathan from investigating his company. Arthur tells him that if Nathan doesn't back off, he'll have him killed.
Hiro watches as Company man Thompson foils Meredith's attempt to rob a store with her brother, Flint. Back in a Level 5 cell, Thompson says she must either be a Company agent or a prisoner. She chooses the former and accompanies him on a mission to capture a man with an iron fist.
Sylar is next and Hiro sees him soon after killing his first victim. Full of remorse Sylar tries to kill himself, but is stopped by Elle who befriends him.
Hiro finally wakes up, but he and Ando are alarmed to discover Usutu's decapitated body!
