Hayden Panettiere splits from Steve Jones

Hayden Panettiere has apparently split from Steve Jones because she can't handle long distance relationships.

The 19-year-old Heroes star and the 32-year-old T4 presenter were romantically linked after they were spotted getting cosy on a yacht together at the Cannes Film Festival.

But Hayden told the Daily Mirror: "I'm single and mingling - Steve lives in London, the distance is a bit too much."

She added: "I'm not dating anyone specifically and I'm not looking for a house with anyone.

"Cannes was a great experience. I was on vacation and some friends were going so I decided to come along. It was fun."

Hayden also spoke about the tattoo she showed off while sunbathing on the yacht, which was meant to read "Vivere senza rimipiantic", Italian for "live without regret", but admitted it is spelt wrong.

She said: "It is misspelled, whatever, Vivere senza rimipiantic I just put my own spin to it?

"Chances are I'll probably get it fixed, but that's why I love having it on my back because I don't get bored of it.

"I don't have to stare at it all the time, but then you have it on your back and you don't realise that it's misspelled either!"
