Heroes' Hayden: 'I'm single and mingling'

Hayden Panettiere has declared herself single, and urged fans not to believe everything they read about her in the media.

"Is there something that's not a misconception about me? I'm single and mingling," the Heroes star told www.parade.com.

"I am not dating anyone specifically. I'm not pregnant, if you see any rumours like that. I'm not getting married. I'm not looking for a house with anyone. Let's see, what else could there be?"

The 19-year-old, who has been linked to her co-star Milo Ventimiglia and T4 presenter Steve Jones, added: "They're all rumours. Don't believe any of it. None of it is true."

Hayden - who plays cheerleader Claire Bennet in the sci-fi drama - said that she doesn't take her public reputation too seriously.

"I am an image, what people want to make me. They don't really know me," she admitted.

"They don't know who I am. They don't know what I'm like. And sometimes I get some bad things said about me and I think: 'You've never hung out with me, you never had a conversation with me, so how do you know?'"
