Hysterical Blindness
Saturday, 30 January 2010 22:15 BBC2

Sylar emerges from his shallow grave and staggers down the deserted road. Suddenly, a police car approaches and he's taken to the station, where police psychologist Dr Gibson diagnoses amnesia and starts to work with him. But Captain Lubbock soon identifies him as murder suspect Gabriel Gray and begins an intense interrogation. Sylar instinctively uses his power to hurl Lubbock through a window and escapes into the woods pursued by the police.
Claire and Gretchen are invited to try out for a college sorority and as they prepare to leave for the society dance, Claire notices Gretchen has been researching her on her computer. Then, Claire is nearly hit by a falling flagstaff at the dance, and only Gretchen is close enough to have dropped it. Later, Claire confronts her but Gretchen kisses her - she has a crush on her! Suddenly, sorority chairperson Becky Taylor enters - Claire and Gretchen have been allowed to join.
Peter saves a disoriented Emma from being hit by a bus and inadvertently picks up her ability. She later realises he too can see colours from sound, but she turns him down when he invites her to lunch. That evening, Emma plays the cello, but as her music intensifies the light starts to damage the walls of her room!
Meanwhile, just as Samuel is proclaiming that a new member will be joining the carnival, Becky Taylor suddenly appears. She is one of their number and has the power of invisibility. Becky's been working to isolate Claire and it was she who dropped the flagstaff, pushed Annie from her window and left the suicide note.
And, as Sylar runs out of the woods, he's faced with Samuel and the carnival. They have their new member!
