Let it Bleed

After escaping from the carnival, Edgar pays Noah a visit, intending to kill him, but Noah is prepared and captures the speedster. Keeping him in a freezer to slow him down, Noah interrogates Edgar for information about Samuel, but with little success. Then, following Lauren's advice that honey is more effective than vinegar, Noah suggests he and Edgar work together. Edgar agrees but becomes jittery when he realises Noah wants to break up the carnival family itself. He escapes from his bonds and flees, taking Noah's carnival plans with him.

Meanwhile, at Nathan's wake, Angela is worried that Peter's grief may cause him to harm himself and asks Claire to help him deal with his brother's death. But Claire fears she may be too late when Peter tries to stop a crazed gunman from killing his office colleagues. Peter subdues the gunman, getting shot in the process, and has to use Claire's healing powers to mend his wounds. He promises not to pursue Sylar to avenge his brother's death, but later flies off after taking the ability of Claire's former boyfriend, West.

And Sylar returns to confront Samuel over his reasons for gathering the carnival folk, but learns a few truths about himself. Unsure of his next step he acquires Lydia's ability and decides to use ink for guidance, but the tattoo he creates on his arm is an image of Claire!
