Hugh Laurie runs VERY late on his second novel

House star Hugh Laurie is hard at work on his second novel, Paper Soldiers.

Tentatively scheduled for a September launch, Paper Soldiers is already running late, as House star Hugh freely admits. "My second novel will be coming out two years ago," he joked, referring to the book's original release date in 2007.

Hugh has announced that he intends to write a series of six books, remarking that writing was preferable to acting because 'you can do it lounging on a pillow rather than running upstairs'.

His first novel, The Gun Seller, was warmly praised by critics, and Hugh had at one time been busy adapting it for the big screen.

However, the film, to be produced by actor John Malkovich, was shelved because of its terrorist theme.
