Tim Roth ready for love in Lie to Me?

Lie To Me fans should expect some romance for Tim Roth's character this series.

But executive producer Shawn Ryan wouldn't confirm what viewers are desperate to know - will Tim's character Cal Lightman and Gillian Foster ever get it on?

"I don't want to say with which character," the producer-writer teased while talking about things heating up for Tim's role. "But he's a healthy heterosexual male and should be able to enjoy himself on occasions."

Ryan was brought in at the start of series two to make some tweaks and changes to the drama.

"Tim Roth doing crazy stuff is the most basic appeal," he explained in a rare break from writing the show in Hollywood.

"Certainly I've wanted to maintain the things that work and the things that people love. The characters, the science, showing the famous faces as examples of what people are feeling.

"What I've tried to do is add a personal nature to the show and (find out) who were these characters and what's their back story."

*Lie To Me is broadcast on Sky1 HD and Sky1 every Thursday at 10pm.
