Dexter star to join cast of Lost

Former Dexter star Mark Pellegrino is to join the cast of Lost.
The actor will appear in the final episode of the fifth season as the often-mentioned Jacob, according to reports in Entertainment Weekly.
It is rumoured that he will appear in a series of flashbacks revealing his involvement with the programme's cast before they arrived on the island.
Mark, 43, played Rita's abusive husband in the first series of US drama Dexter and more recently appeared in Prison Break.
His past credits include Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer and NYPD Blue.
The identity of the character of Jacob has been the subject of much discussion over the past few years on Lost and he is believed to be the holder of many of the island's mysteries.
Mark's first appearance will be in the final episode of the current series, set to air in May, which is rumoured to feature the death of a major character.
