Is Mr Eko returning to Lost?

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played Mr Eko in Lost, has said he'd like to return to the series.

The actor, whose character Mr Eko was killed in season three, has revealed that the death of his parents forced him to ask the producers to write him out. The decision shocked Lost fans around the world.

“It was a very traumatic year," the British actor told TV Guide. However, he would now be open to a return, adding: "To be able to give that rich character some completion would be nice.”

Talking about his role in a forthcoming episode of US detective series Monk, Adewale reveals that he still keeps in touch with former Lost stars Harold Perrineau (Michael) and Dominic Monaghan (Charlie).

The news comes as rumours circulate that a number of dead characters, including Charlie and Shannon, are to return for the show's final series next year.
