Lost producers 'empty' after finale
21/05/2010 - 10:25

Lost executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have admitted feeling empty since they finished filming the final episode of the hit drama.
The script for the finale - which will be screened simultaneously in both the US and the UK - was completed little more than a month ago, having taken four weeks to film.
Damon said: "We locked the final effect shot, and now that it's actually finished, the word that Carlton and I are using is 'emptiness'. We're saying, 'Oh, my God, we're not doing the show anymore.'"
Carlton said the entire cast and crew share similar feelings.
"While we are the frontmen for Lost, it's a massively collaborative show," Carlton said. "It's the largest, most complex, expensive show produced for television anywhere in the world. It's kind of the end of an era."
Both are staying tight-lipped on the show's finale, but Carlton thinks fans will be happy with the ending.
"We're satisfied with the finale," he said.
He called the ending "kind of spiritual," and said it "feels like a fair way to honour the fans, the characters and everyone's commitment to the show".
Lost reaches its conclusion with a two-and-a-half hour finale, simulcasting with the US West Coast broadcast, on Monday May 24 at 5am on Sky1 HD and Sky1.
