Lost star to make Lord Of The Rings prequel?

Lost star Dominic Monaghan has hinted he'll be reprising his Hobbit role in a Lord Of The Rings prequel.

The actor, who played the ex-rock star drug addict Charlie Pace in the first three seasons of Lost, said there's a 'really strong chance' the Hobbits will pop up in the prequels currently in the pipeline, according to the Daily Express.

Dominic - who starred as a hobbit called Merry in The Lord Of The Rings - said: "They really want us to come back and I think there's a really strong chance that we might be back."

Dominic's co-star in Lost, Evangeline Lilly, has also confirmed that she is planning to quit acting when she completes work on the show.

Evangeline told Celebs On Sunday magazine: "I'd love to have more time to devote to hobbies. But the reality is when you open a door, there is no sense in closing it - so I would never say I'll never act again. But it's definitely not my priority."

The ABC network, which makes Lost, announced last year that the show would end in 2010.
