Matthew Fox 'relieved' about end of Lost

Matthew Fox has confessed he feels relieved that his hit show Lost is ending in two seasons' time.
"Personally, it's a relief," the actor told the January/February issue of Details magazine.
"I owe this show a great amount, and I think it's exceptionally good. But I am looking forward to the freedom that comes with not working on one project professionally."
The ABC network which makes Lost last year announced that the show would end in 2010, and Matthew, who plays Jack Shephard, says he has "some idea" about what will happen.
He said: "The show started with a plane crash on an island in the South Pacific, and it's going to have a very global and epic ending.
"When it's all said and done, you'll be able to look at the six seasons of Lost and see a pretty amazing character arc."
Matthew added: "We started the show with Jack being this hero who had no concept of what that required, sort of trying to live up to the expectations... and then finding the way to redeem himself."
After the show finishes, Matthew, 42, is looking forward to moving from Lost's Hawaiian location to Oregon to be nearer his family.
"My major motivation is to be closer to family. My brother is there, my mother is there. I really miss that kind of wide-open space."
