US series Chuck goes 3D in the UK

Virgin1 will broadcast the UK’s first ever TV episode in 3D, when Chuck vs the Third Dimension premieres on Tuesday 28 August.

Fans of Chuck won’t want to miss this thrilling episode which features Dominic Monaghan – previously Charlie the British rock star in Lost – playing an, ahem, British rock star who turns to Chuck for protection from a mystery assassin.

There’s lots of great 3D action, including hurtling knives, grenades and even the odd flying donut!

"It’s really cool," says Zachary Levi, who plays bumbling reluctant secret agent Chuck. "We were all beside ourselves when we heard because it’s the first episode of TV ever to be broadcast in 3D so we are pioneers; it’s pretty groundbreaking."

The episode features cutting edge 3D technology, and needs to be viewed with special blue and amber 3D glasses. To get your free pair, don’t miss the next issue of TV & Satellite Week (on sale Tuesday, August 18) and keep up with US TV via the TV & Satellite Week blog, TV Spy.
