Sawyer escapes from the Temple, but Kate agrees to track him down after the Others reveal it is vital he return. Jin and a pair of the Others accompany her on her mission, but she escapes them and finds Sawyer in the old Others village. Sawyer is distraught and reveals he was going to propose to Juliet.

Meanwhile, one of the Others decides to take revenge on the Losties by killing Jin, but he is saved by a mystery woman. It's Claire and she's gone rogue.

In the parallel timeline, Kate flees from the police and helps Claire to give birth to Aaron after discovering that the couple who were to adopt the child have split up. The maternity doctor is deceased Other Ethan Rom, and Claire later helps Kate escape again.
