The cult Living drama Supernatural will return for a sixth series, according to US magazine Entertainment Weekly.
Supernatural creator Eric Kripke reportedly held a firm stance that Supernatural was a five-season show, but he will step down next series, and will be replaced by executive producer Sera Gamble.
An insider told Entertainment Weekly: "Eric and Bob [Singer, co-producer] will be working very closely with Sera. They are not abandoning the show."
Last August Kripke said: "I'm looking at [series five] as the last chapter in this particular story," he said. "That doesn't mean there can't be a new story. Buffy did it. The X-Files did it. You close a chapter on a big mythology storyline and then you begin a new one."
