Lisbon’s team investigate the murder of undercover cop Yolanda Concepcion, who’s been shot dead outside a nightclub. She’d been following drug dealer and club owner Omar Vega, a big-time criminal who’s taken over the area’s drug trade in less than a year. He’s a particularly vicious character and seems likely to be behind Yoli’s death.

News comes in that a hotel room has been paid for with Yoli’s credit card and Rigsby and Cho pay a visit, only to find hooker Summer with one of her clients. Summer admits that she’d found Yoli’s body, taken her cards and reported the murder but offers information in return for the theft charges being dropped. She reveals that Vega had recently been raided by a gang called the Perry Boys. Yoli seems to have been involved with them as Van Pelt discovers pictures of a recently foreclosed house on her computer – the Perry’s hideout. The cops raid the property but find the gang members are all dead – shot by the same gun that killed Yoli.

Jane devises a plan to expose the murderer and find Vega’s centre of operations. He visits the club and, pretending to be a crooked cop, demands a cut of the drug money if he provides access to the police drug stores. He’s swiftly driven to Vega’s hideout where the drug lord reveals he’s been offered the same deal by another bent cop – it’s Bianca, Yoli’s fellow undercover cop. To convince Vega, Bianca confesses to shooting Yoli and the Perrys but, just when it seems Vega is going to shoot Jane, Cho, Rigsby and the cops burst in and arrest the bad guys. Vega and Bianca will go away for a long time.
