True Blood

A host of new supernatural creatures arrive in Bon Temps as fantasy drama True Blood returns to FX on Sunday, February 5.
The last time we saw telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) she was coming to terms with the news that she is half-fae and was quickly whisked off to a fantasy world by her fairy godmother Claudine (Sherlock’s Lara Pulver). As series four begins, Sookie’s thrilled to be reunited with her grandfather in this strange land, but soon discovers things are not as idyllic as they seem.
Back in Bon Temps, the shocking consequences of the fight between Bill (Stephen Moyer) and the Queen of Louisiana (Evan Rachel Wood) are revealed as Bill and Eric (Alexander Skaarsgard) come together to fight the public relations disaster caused by Russell Edgington’s bloody rampage.
Bill’s surprising new career also brings him into conflict with an ancient enemy of the vampires – witches. Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) and Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) have joined a local coven where head witch Marnie Stonebrook (Harry Potter star Fiona Shaw) is experimenting with reanimating the dead. Fearing she will develop the ability to control vampires, Eric embarks on a mission to destroy her, but his interference has terrible consequences.
Sam (Sam Trammell) also makes new supernatural friends as he embraces his shape-shifter heritage, but new love interest Luna (Janina Gavanka) has some dark secrets of her own. Meanwhile, Arlene (Carrie Preston) becomes convinced that her newborn son is possessed by the spirit of his serial-killer father.
The new faces and new dangers come as quite a shock to Sookie, as she returns to a Bon Temps that’s very different to the one she briefly left behind.
