Ashley Jensen announces pregnancy

Ashley Jensen has confirmed that she is pregnant.

The Ugly Betty star - who had been spotted with a small bump - and her husband, British actor Terence Beesley, announced to People.com that they are 'excited' to be expecting their first child in the autumn.

In a tale of life imitating art, Ashley reportedly discovered she was pregnant after her Ugly Betty character, seamstress Christina McKinney, fell pregnant and had a baby in the last season of the show.

The 38-year-old Scot, who received an Emmy nod for her role in Extras, has no plans to slow down anytime soon though - her next role sees her working on a new sitcom, Accidentally On Purpose, about a pregnant woman dating a younger man.
