Salma Hayek pitches Ugly Betty the Musical

Salma Hayek says she would love to see Ugly Betty on the stage.
The Puss In Boots star, who acted as executive producer on the hit TV series, also denied the hotly rumoured film version was in the works.
"I'd like to do a musical of Ugly Betty. Everybody in the cast sings beautifully. We were trying for five minutes, so let's see if we can revive it," she said.
As for the big-screen adaptation, Salma added: "Wouldn't that be great? Not for right now."
Ugly Betty, which ran for four seasons from 2006 until it ended in 2010, starred America Ferrera - now starring in the West End production of Chicago, where she plays murderess Roxie Hart - as down-trodden fashion assistant Betty Suarez.
America previously admitted that there were no plans for an Ugly Betty film at the moment.
"It's so wonderful that the fans care so much that this question about the movie just keeps coming up," she said to This Morning.
"It's not anything that's actually in the works, but is something that's always a possibility, and it's wonderful to know that the fans want it."
