Shakira to appear in Ugly Betty

Shakira is set to appear in a cameo role on Ugly Betty – joining the long list of celebs who have taken one off starring roles in the programme.
Victoria Beckham, Adele and Lindsay Lohan have previously all joined the Ugly Betty cast.
The singer filmed her appearance in New York.
Show producer Silvio Horta admitted to People magazine that Shakira had been on the show's wish list for a long time.
Silvio said: "We had a very memorable moment in the third episode where Betty has a makeover that goes wrong and she struts down the street to Hips Don't Lie. She is an enormous Latina icon, as is Betty, and we thought it was a perfect fit."
