Backseat Betty

Betty has to convince Matt she's bold for the Fearless issue of Mode, later Hilda and her bump into one of Hilda's ex-boyfriends, 'bad boy' Bobby. Betty used to have a crush on him and fantasises about asking him out. She does, but only to ask for driving lessons.

Hilda feels uncomfortable seeing Betty with Bobby, 'You are a good girl and he is a very bad boy', she reminds her. She gets Betty to go on a date with Archie's accountant Larry, who Betty finds dull, so she stands him up to sneak out with Bobby. Bobby confesses he never got over Hilda.

After Marc suggests Justin hang out with the popular girls at school he gets involved with their Homecoming preparations. The mention of which causes Hilda to bristle as she remembers being voted Homecoming Queen but was prevented from going by Ignatio because she was pregnant.

At the event, Justin is announced Homecoming Queen, but instead of walking out, he bravely accepts the award. On stage he says, 'As much as I hate giving up an accessory, I think there's someone who deserves it more,' He hands it to his mum.

Meanwhile, Wilhelmina decides to help Nico by looking up Connor. She publicly hands in her notice, hoping he will get in touch. But a shocked Claire informs her that his body was washed up on a beach!

Daniel’s involvement with the Order becomes increasingly worrying and Betty and Claire decide to find out more about its leader...

Betty decides that Hilda will be the subject of her Fearless article, 'You're the bravest person I know and you've raised the bravest kid in the world,' she says.
