Chica and the Man

When Wilhelmina gets wind that she has a drag queen impersonator, Wilhediva Hater (played by Vanessa Williams's brother Chris Williams), she is livid and vows to close down his show. She turns up at one of his performances to find Claire and Amanda in the audience, and later threatens to sue him.

Betty, meanwhile is gathering a following on her blog, and learns that she has won a BLOBBY. Later a fan arrives to ask Betty who she wants to present her award. Betty asks Daniel and he makes a bit of joke about the whole thing, which upsets Betty. She later vents her annoyance on her blog, being careful not to disclose any names, but by the morning her fans had put two and two together and Daniel’s name is all over the internet followed swiftly by a media frenzy. When Betty decides Daniel is not the best person to present her award, Wilhelmina agrees to it but sends Wilheldiva in her place.

Amanda persuades Daniel to hire her as his new assistant and brings in old friend Helen to replace her on reception, but Wilhelmina is not impressed and orders Amanda to fire her, but instead she hides her in the wardrobe department and even offers her a place to stay.

The episode ends with Wilhelmina storming the club, only to end up singing It’s Raining Men. Having warmed to Wilheldiva, she suggests he up his game by wearing more tasteful designer labels in the future...
