Hello Goodbye

Betty is worried about telling Daniel she is leaving Mode. Marc overhears her talking about it and sends her news round the office via a mass email. Later, Daniel tells Betty he knew about her leaving and is fine with it, but his actions betray his feelings when he burns her contract. He then offers Betty a promotion to tempt her to stay, but she’s made her mind up. She has a party to say goodbye, but Daniel doesn’t show up. She says an emotional farewell to her family and sets off to London.

Wilhelmina is in a coma in hospital after being shot by Tyler. Claire is the only witness and a possible suspect. But a surprise visit from Connor, who declares his undying love, helps Wilhelmina’s recovery. When she leaves the hospital she announces that she shot herself by accident. Claire thanks her for not mentioning Tyler and the editors make up.

In London romance is on the cards when Betty meets up with Daniel, who offers to take her to dinner. She jokes that she’s looking for an assistant and he could apply.

Later, Daniel announces that he’s stepping down as editor of Mode and gives Wilhelmina his job. Marc gets a promotion and a second chance with Troy. Meanwhile, Amanda finds out that Spencer is her father. He admits that he knew when he asked her to be his stylist. They embrace.

Hilda and Bobby are reluctant to tell Ignatio they’re moving to Manhatten, but he later reassures them that he will be fine living alone.
