London Calling

Betty suggests to Hilda that she join her in London for Fashion Week and they can celebrate her engagement. Betty and Amanda meet up with Christina, who is now a big shot in the fashion world. Through one of Christina’s contacts, Betty gets offered a fashion correspondent job for a British magazine. While Betty goes to work, Amanda and Hilda go sightseeing and in the evening they meet up in a bar. After a few drinks, Betty is dared to flash a man in the bar and is shocked to see its her old friend Gio.

Gio suggests they go for a walk along the river to catch up. After a bit of flirting, he points out that Betty isn’t really following her dream and rubs it in that she’s still writing about fashion. This annoys Betty and she heads back to her hotel.

Back in New York, Wilhelmina gets wind of Tyler’s alcohol problem and goes along to his AA meetings. She offers to be his sponsor and starts to fill his mind with doubts about the Meades. Meanwhile, Daniel tries to befriend Tyler and takes him out for a drink, but he lets it slip that his father is Cal Hartley. Tyler, feeling deceived about his father, ends up getting drunk and starting a fight. Tyler is arrested and later bailed out of jail by Wilhelmina, who is delighted to hear him say he wants to take the Meade fortune. Bobby catches Justin kissing Austin, but swears to keep his secret, and Henry gets a drunken voice mail from Betty inviting him to Hilda’s wedding.
