Million Dollar Smile

The day Betty is due to have her braces off arrives, but the fire alarm goes off at the orthodontist and she has to get back to work – with her braces still in tact. Later in the day, she is knocked unconscious during a photoshoot at the Guggenheim Museum and in a dreamlike state imagines an alternative world in which she has perfect teeth and Dr Frankel (guest star Kathy Najimy) is her guardian angel. The Suarez’s are rich, Hilda is the ugly sister, Justin was never born and she is Wilhelmina’s beautiful but scheming assistant.

Elsewhere, Justin tries to contact Austin who seems to be avoiding his calls since they kissed. Daniel announces that he’s secured the Million Dollar Bra for a photoshoot, but Wilhelmina is quick to point out that it is due to be in Cairo the same day as the shoot. Betty says she has a friend who can help them delay the bra’s transit, but she has trouble passing security at the Guggenheim and that’s when she hits her head. When Betty gains consciousness, she grabs Wilhelmina, who she believes is about to steal the bra, but somehow gets her braces caught in the diamond-encrusted underwear. Dr Frankel has to come and release her from the exhibit and finally removes her braces.

Meanwhile, Amanda tells Daniel about her relationship with Tyler and Claire returns from visiting Alexis in France.
