Big Brother 11’s latest evictee Govan Zachariah Hinds has admitted he wasn’t surprised to have been given the boot from the house.
The 21-year-old – who was evicted on Friday with a whopping 72 per cent of the public vote – told Davina McCall in his eviction interview that his mother had predicted he wouldn’t last long.
“Before I came here my mum said ‘you’re going to be one of the first ones to leave Govan’,” he said. “Only because sometimes I don’t think before I speak. Not because she thought everybody would hate me but because in that kind of environment that kind of thing would get me into trouble.
“So I was kind of gearing myself up for it really.”
However Govan denied he had gone out of his way to cause trouble in the house – despite having caused a major bust-up between Ben and Shabby last weekend.
“I don’t enjoy trouble,” he said, “and when I caused that row on Sunday it wasn’t a case of my wanting to cause trouble. But if I had been Shabby in that situation I would want to be told.”
The other housemates however were shocked by Govan’s departure, particularly Josie – who was seen sobbing in the bathroom following his eviction interview.
However things are set to improve for her after Govan – in his final act as a housemate – nominated her to be given a good day on Saturday.
