Jo Butler has become the eighth person to be evicted from the Big Brother 2010 house
It was a busy night on the eviction front with four nominees facing the public vote. Among them was JJ
Sam was also facing eviction after being nominated for the first time – despite having only been in the house for two weeks
Dave, on the other hand, must be getting used to this by now after being nominated yet again
In the end however it was Jo who was given the push with 39.4 per cent of the public vote
She said a swift goodbye to her fellow housemates….
…..before heading for the exit, where she told the others she could hear booing from outside
And indeed the self-confessed ‘cougar’ looked crestfallen after leaving the house to a largely negative reaction from the crowd
However she quickly regained her composure
Afterwards she admitted to Davina McCall she had “struggled” in the house – and said she might have behaved differently if there had been more available men!
Meanwhile there was a surprise in store for the remaining housemates as Davina appeared on a screen in the house
They were shocked to learn that the final was in 11 days time, ahead of old housemates returning for Ultimate Big Brother
However the housemates were also told they had to vote for one of them to be automatically granted a pass to the final
And after some deliberation, they chose Josie – much to her delight
The 25-year-old is now immune from eviction until the final on August 24 – while the other eight housemates are left to battle it out to win their place
