Posh boy Ben will have to perform a live stand-up routine in front of the rowdy Big Brother eviction crowd – but he doesn’t yet know it.
The contestant thinks he is to only perform to his fellow housemates on the Channel 4 show.
Ben has to deliver his gags as a forfeit for failing a task during the show which has now been running for three weeks.
A programme insider said: “He’s not yet been told. But he’ll have to do his stand-up routine in front of the live, Friday night eviction crowd.
“We’ll probably tell him tomorrow morning and it will happen before or after the eviction, probably before. He’ll have to wear a costume.”
Writer Ben, 30, was tasked with secretly carrying out an arm wrestling and street slang task by the Tree Of Temptation in the Big Brother bathroom.
When he failed, the Tree punished him by ordering him to get himself elected as the stand-up in the latest shopping budget challenge.
Ben’s housemates rumbled that he had been secretly chatting to the tree, but he tried to put them off off the scent by fabricating cover stories.
