Big Brother: Charley breaks bookies’ records

Bookmakers Ladbrokes have paid out a record £10,000 on Charley’s Big Brother eviction, over 24 hours before her likely exit.

The loudmouth’s closing price is the shortest in Big Brother history, at 1/500 to go – smashing the previous record of 1/200, set just last week by Nicky.

Spokesman for Ladbrokes Nick Weinberg said: “We held on in the hope that Charley’s chances would improve. But the odds don’t lie.

“Charley has bitched, connived and backstabbed her way into Big Brother history and we’ve decided that enough is enough.

“Her price has been short throughout. Otherwise, the carnage could easily have run into the tens of thousands, possibly more.

“We knew we’d get a hiding as soon as Charley was up for eviction.”

If Charley gets more than 91.6 per cent of the public vote for her eviction on Friday night, she will become the most unpopular Big Brother housemate in the show’s history. The current record was set by Sezer last year.

The bookmakers’ odds for Charley breaking the record stand at 1/5.

The odds of Charley’s fellow nominee, Tracey, getting the boot instead are just 20/1.
