Five new arrivals joined the Big Brother house on Friday night – just moments before the seventh eviction of the series was announced.

And there was a surprise for Karly, when one of the newcomers turned out to be her boyfriend Kenneth. The 24-year-old millionaire, from Glasgow, was the first newcomer into the house – and the glamour model couldn’t quite believe it.

“It’s my boyfriend, it’s my boyfriend,” she shrieked, “What are you doing?”

“I decided to do the show,” he told her as the pair embraced – but then Karly began panicking as she realised she was up for eviction and that their reunion could be short-lived.

“Come on, chill out,” Kenneth told her, “I love you, just remember that.”

Next into the house was Bea, a quirky 24-year-old recruitment consultant from Bristol, who also proved to be a familiar face for one of the housemates after Noirin revealed they had met at the auditions.

She was followed by 28-year-old David, a recycled clothing sorter from Dewsbury and 25-year-old fashion designer Hira, originally from Pakistan but now living in Dublin.

The final new arrival was Tom, a chartered surveyor and yacht importer from Northampton who looks set to give Halfwit a run for his money in the posh stakes. The 27-year-old originally planned to play professional rugby until a back injury put paid to his ambitions.

However the five had barely had a chance to settle in before Karly was evicted – following her brief reunion with Kenneth – and just moments later one of their number was summoned to the Diary Room.

Hira volunteered to go, and found herself being given a secret mission. Big Brother made her choose two names of current housemates from a box, and has told her that she and the new housemates must ensure they are nominated for eviction next week.

Failure to pass the mission will mean that the five newcomers will face the public vote instead – but they may have a fight on their hands since Hira seemed confused about the secret mission, and left the Diary Room thinking that it meant Halfwit and Noirin would automatically be nominated.

“Why me?” she asked Big Brother. “I feel so bad, I feel terrible.”
